Dear JBS Heating & Air, Leo showed professionalism and integrity in his service call. Last year, I called an electrician (24 Hour?) to check the AC unit and install a variable thermostat. I sensed at the time that the tech was "playing" me but agreed to his terms. He replaced a part in the unit (not sure if it was necessary) and neglected to close the vent above. Basically, we have been cooling the AC closet for over a year. Leo recognized that immediately, checked the inside and outside vents, room-by-room temperatures, and added refrigerant to the outside unit. He also replaced connectors on the outside unit which had show signs of shorting. Since it is a 23-year old unit, I would likely accept a recommendation to replace it. When that time comes, I assure you that JBS will be my choice. For now, I would like more information about options to improve air flow and possibly to install a HEPA filter. Good Morning Mr. Hawthorne, We had a brief conversation on September 18th regarding this program and I was convinced by the extraordinary confidence you have in this program that it was the right decision to move forward on installing a new HVAC system in our home. I was impressed with the programs attention to details, the wonderful savings and an inspection by my Utility Company. However, I am disappointed to find out a physical inspection will not be conducted under SCE program. I was sent a CF-4R form which stated "This house was: Approved as part of sample testing, but was not tested". Even though, I am impressed with the caliber of professionalism, knowledge and craftsmanship of JBS Mechanical installation team, I would like to request a physical inspection of the second largest investment in our home. I would like to acknowledge your technician by the name of Casey for an outstanding job in servicing my air conditioning issues. Casey was at my house till late on Friday trying to brainstorm ideas on how to cool one of my rooms that just stays warmer than the rest of the house. Dear JBS, This letter is to tell you how pleased we were with the professional installation of our new Air and Heating equipment last Friday, June 12, 2009. Your crew, Rick, Leo, and Lupe did an excellent job in our home. We were impressed with the quality of their work and their professional manner. Rick immediately expressed his concern over why two air conditioners had burned out within 9 1/2 years. His explanation made sense to us and the addition of a second intake vent in the house seems to be making a huge difference. The rooms that were always warm before are nice and cool now! They were neat and left no trail behind. Their work in cutting new holes in our ceiling was excellent and the new vent cover was put in perfectly straight and centered. We also want to tell you we are so happy we contacted Jeff Johnson to come to our home last week. The system is fine. I'm using it judiciously and loving it. As Jacob may have mentioned, I didn't pass inspection, but not because of the furnace. I need to have my water heater vented. I have a handyman I've heard of getting back to me on a bid. I think, however, that something may be going on with the thermostats. I could swear they're resetting to higher numbers. But, with so many settings, days, hours, etc, I'll need to really pay attention. However, I'm sure when I last adjusted the settings, there were no 80 degree temps on it and this morning, when I turned it back on, it wanted to make the room 80. I'll watch closely and check out the directions and if something seems to be wonky I'll let you know. Otherwise, the job got done just in time. (And I have six months to get the water heater ready.) JBS: I have had a new heating and air unit for about a year now. I used the heating system all winter and found it to work quite satisfactorily the unit that JBS put in was a 95% efficient and cut my gas bill about 40% to 50%. That was keeping my house at 72 deg, in the day and 65 deg at night. The heating unit that JBS installed is smaller than the unit I had replaced. As was the air unit this summer has been quite milled so far, but on the days I have used it has keep my house at 75 deg with the out side temp at 100+. The workmanship and the professionalism of JBS workers were outstanding. I had a vibration noise in the condenser and the day I called them there was one of there trouble shooters out and repaired the problem. As I said I haven't used the air that much but I have yet to have an electrical bill over $50.00. I would recommend JBS for your heat and air needs. I received 4 bids and JBS bid was about mid point but because of there trained tech. I had no problems qualifying for many government rebates. Garry M. Lake Elsinore, CA |

My name is Garry L. Miner I live in Lake Elsinore. As you may know the temperature at Elsinore has quite a flocculation. From 120 in the summer to 30 deg. in the winter. I had JBS install a new heater and air conditioner. Two years ago, they ran a complete survey on my house as to what size unit I would require. Because I had upgraded my windows to a double pain energy star window's. I was able to reduce my air to a 3ton 14 sear unit and my furnace to a 95% efficiency unit. Both units work so well is all I need do is set my thermostat at what temperature I like and the Air or furnace will hold it there regardless of the out side temperature. To whom it may concern; On March 10, 2010 JBS Heating & Air installed a new heating and air conditioning system in my home at 2651 Look Out Circle, Chino Hills, Ca. 91709. The install was completed in a timely and professional manner on March 10, 2010. The new furnace had stopped working on March 14, 2010. JBS sent out one of their NATE Certified technicians to my home and the technician found that the unit had gone out on a limit switch, he checked everything about the install and he could not find any problems. The air conditioning and furnace worked fine until December 31, 2010. At that time they found the gas valve was faulty and needed to be replaced. The limit switch had also tripped again. JBS, again, dispatched a NATE Certified technician and he still could not find anything wrong with the installation. After the scheduled attempt, I was extremely upset and told JBS' Service Manager, Rick Avila, to remove the furnace. Even though I did not purchase the 1 year satisfaction guarantee JBS removed the furnace and replaced it. Not only did they take care of the issue but they also, at cost to them, purchased a 5 year labor warranty on the replacement furnace.
